Lionel Messi與阿根廷國家隊戰友Sergio Aguero的親密關係已經街知巷聞，但褪下國家隊戰袍，兩人分別效力的球隊，巴塞隆納（西甲）、曼城（英超），將在歐冠盃16強賽上演對決戲碼。

Messi率先在Facebook上放話：「期待踢歐冠盃第二輪賽事，能在16強面對我的好麻吉真是太棒了，我會電他，就像我們打FIFA（足球遊戲）的時候我總是贏他一樣。」

Messi的一番話肯定會引起Aguero的回應，因為「Messi、Aguero玩FIFA誰強？」這話題在網路上受矚目很久了，外國鄉民們對答案都非常好奇。

Aguero尚未公開回應Messi的放話，但早先曼城四名球員在公布抽籤時，上傳了一段絕望表情的短片到網路上，非常逗趣。
