地方公職人員選舉激烈，苗栗檢方今天查獲一票2千元賄選案，造橋鄉民代表栢姓候選人（55歲）及他的太太陳姓婦人（54歲）遭檢舉，本月中旬起涉嫌每票2千元買票，檢察官指揮調查局苗栗縣調查站及竹南警分局傳訊15人，部分選民坦承收賄，扣案選民自願繳出賄款，晚間檢察官以有串證之虞，聲請羈押栢姓候選人夫妻。
