新北市長朱立倫24日出席9月份道安會報，聽取臺北區監理所「新北市幼兒園交通安全教育向下扎根活動」專題報告，指幼童是國家未來的主人翁，為使交通安全教育向下扎根，廣邀本市幼兒園辦理幼童交通安全參訪活動，透過有獎徵答、考驗場考照等動態學習，以寓教於樂方式讓兒童瞭解道路交通安全基本常識，如不要在馬路上嬉戲，騎乘自行車注意安全…等，讓幼童從小建立正確交通安全觀念。

朱立倫表示，幼兒的交通安全教育是非常重要的，除可透過教育向下扎根，建立良好的交通安全行為外，更可以簡單的口訣讓幼童熟記相關交通安全觀念，進而向上宣導至家中的家長及年長者。並指無論是幼童行的安全、搭乘的幼童專用車安全以及其他一般用路人對幼童專用車的禮讓觀念…等，強調要更嚴格把關。
