中信兄弟賽前在下半季戰績僅落後義大犀牛1場，今天對Lamigo之戰若能繼續獲勝，將可逼近甚至登上下半季王座。
今天派出的洋投桑契斯，本季曾對戰Lamigo兩場，沒有任何勝敗成績，對戰5.1局被擊出4支安打，飆出4次三振和5次保送，沒有失分，被打擊率2成11，對戰防禦率是0。
