野火燒不盡　華盛頓州頒布緊急令

據美國白宮網站消息，總統歐巴馬當地時間23日簽署華盛頓州緊急令，調配聯邦政府資源以幫助和應對當地發生的森林火災。由於氣溫居高不下，加上強風助威，美國西部的華盛頓州中部地區近日爆發森林火災，持續多日的火災已經威脅到當地人的生命和財產安全。 　　

自9日以來，這場野火已燒毀了大約870平方公里的乾燥森林和草地。高溫和乾旱加劇災情。歐巴馬簽署的緊急令包括授權國土安全部、聯邦應急管理局組成應對小組，共同協調救災工作，還要為緊急救災工作提供必要的幫助。緊急令還稱，要不惜一切力量保證人民生命、財產安全，並且要儘快減弱當地火災的影響，聯邦應急管理局被授予有權利決定緊急調配設備、資源來救災。救災產生的費用中有75%可以依靠聯邦財政解決。（國際中心／綜合外電報導）
