精障女拒就醫回家被燒死　父慟：法令害死我女

苗栗縣卓蘭鎮下午1時發生死亡火警。一名罹患思覺失調症（舊稱為精神分裂）的宋姓女子（40歲、）今天上午因抽菸時情緒躁動失控，宋父覺得她可能精神狀況不穩，載去台中市石岡區某家醫院就診，但因《精神衛生法》規定，除非有暴力攻擊狀況需強制就醫，宋女因由家人載去自行就醫，必須由她簽名同意才能收治，但因宋女拒絕簽名，被迫回家。

中午12:20分許，宋家一樓瓦房突然竄出大火，宋父等親人奪門而逃，但大火迅速擴散，宋女來不及逃生，被倒塌的瓦礫和烈火吞噬，當場成為焦屍，警消懷疑可能宋女吸菸或電線走火引發火警，宋父質疑醫院當時若收治女兒就不會發生悲劇。至於疑詳細起火原因和財物損失仍有待統計。（楊永盛／苗栗報導）
