美國隊第二戰被追平，錯過提前晉級的機會，賽後教頭「金色轟炸機」Jurgen Klinsmann吐苦水：大會偏袒原本就被看好的隊伍！

金色轟炸機的理由有二：第一、美國駐紮在南方的聖保羅，但三場比賽卻都得移動到巴西北邊。第二、德國隊有多一天休息時間，迎接關鍵第三戰。

「那些原本就被看好的隊伍，每件事都對他們有利，」Klinsmann說，「我們這一路走來，比較嚴苛。」

不過，美國中場Matt Besler有另一番見解：「我們喜歡更嚴苛的挑戰，這就是美式作風。」

其實，Klinsmann提到的問題，並不全然是國際足總FIFA的責任。首先，美國隊自己看上聖保羅，才得南北奔波。再來，除了8支種子隊之外，其他各隊都可能被抽到G組，也就是美國現在的位子。
