台中市胡志強今天參加聖公會慶典活動時表示，宗教助人光明、走出困境，台中市與所有信徒站在一起，是個友善且愛神的城市。

基督教台灣聖公會位於中市的聖雅各教堂提供幼稚園、語言、諮商等社區服務。聖公會今天在忠信國小舉辦宣教60週年感恩慶典，主教賴榮信帶領700多名信徒齊聚參加，胡志強與會。

賴榮信向胡志強提及美國90位主教團成員將於今年9月來台中訪問。胡志強回應表示，將做好接待工作，讓主教團感受到台中市是個友善且愛神的城市。

胡志強致詞表示，他畢業於與聖公會有密切關係的英國牛津大學，並取得博士學位，小時候也曾到聖公會教堂領取過免費的奶粉與餅乾，獲得足夠營養。

胡志強稱讚聖公會在台灣發展60年並不容易，宗教不僅是堅定不移的信仰，讓人在黑暗中看見光明，幫助人們走出困境，進而突破、成功，台中市政府會與所有信徒站在一起。(中央社)
