美國華盛頓州斯波坎郡（Spokane County）警方表示，1隻連續咬傷5人的鬥牛犬昨晚在社區逃竄，逃避動物保護單位圍捕，員警只得開槍，將牠射死。

斯波坎郡動物保護局指出，這隻鬥牛犬昨天晚間因為躲避圍捕，在公寓住宅區四處逃竄，動物保護局人員請求警方協助。

斯波坎郡警方今天指出，圍捕行動一直未能成功，員警最後決定以獵槍將牠打死。

根據調查，這隻鬥牛犬成為飼主家庭新成員的時間並不長，日前突然開始發狂，首先是在戶外時突然咬傷飼主，後來又陸續咬傷4人。

至於飼主是否因為鬥牛犬連續咬人而將面臨法律責任，警方與動物保護局目前仍在調查中。(中央社)
