「同性婚姻導致水災」　英議員危言聳聽

【國際中心／綜合外電報導】英國各地自上月底以來持續發生暴雨，多個地區發生水患，至少7人喪生。一名地方民代反對政府將同性婚姻合法化，竟指暴雨水災都是由此而起。

英國去年7月正式將同性婚姻合法化。英國廣播公司（BBC）報導，一名地方議員席維斯特（David Silvester）日前投書媒體，稱同性婚姻違反《聖經》規定，會帶來暴風雨、瘟疫和戰爭等災禍。他聲稱曾在2012年4月致函保守黨籍首相卡麥隆，勸他不要推行同性婚姻合法化，但對方一意孤行，結果導致英國蒙受水災。

73歲的席維斯特曾是保守黨員，因反對同性婚姻退黨。他目前隸屬的英國獨立黨表示，他的言論不代表黨立場，但支持他有權發表意見。保守黨議員豪爾（John Howell）則表示，席維斯特的言論完全不合時宜，建議他重新考慮自己的立場。
