生涯首闖ATP冠軍戰的盧彥勳，遭遇美國新一代重砲John Isner，雖與對方兩盤都戰至搶七，但仍難抗對手的強勢發球，無緣搶下奧克蘭網賽冠軍。

Isner身高208公分，前塞爾維亞名將，曾創下單季1477記ACE的Goran Ivanisevic來台時曾表示，Isner是當今網壇可以挑戰他ACE記錄的選手，發球能力有目共睹。

盧彥勳此役共吞了對方23記ACE，但都能保持競爭力，但Isner在搶七的發球更加強悍，美國巨砲生涯搶七成功率達6成，最後盧彥勳以6（4）-7、6（7）-7吞下敗仗。

奧克蘭網賽屬ATP250等級賽事，盧彥勳是職業生涯首度打進ATP決賽，下一站比賽就是年度第一場大滿貫澳網。

盧彥勳賽後表示，自己表現還不錯，只是無法在John Isner的發球局產生連續性重擊，每每稍有機會，就被Isner的發球破壞，「已經拚到最後一分了！」

盧彥勳的義大利教練Roberto也表示，盧彥勳今天打出一場非常漂亮的球賽，但對手的發球太不可思議，發出23記ACES，這也代表了盧彥勳在整場球賽中只有一兩次機會。

盧彥勳團隊將搭今天晚上的飛機直奔墨爾本，為下星期一開始的澳網做準備。
