【陳偉周／新北報導】國民外交！前天下午，3名來自德國女大生，來台自助旅行抵達平溪體驗放天燈，由於路況不熟，3人前往派出所問路，向警方表示想放完天燈後去孝子山攀岩，平溪所所長谷政群見天候不佳，建議3人擇日前往，自己掏腰包買了１個天燈，指導3人如何放天燈；3人開心地寫滿願望後，成功讓天燈飛上天際，同時讚警說，「感謝幫助，否則困在山區就不好了！」
