三星野心勃勃，根據韓國消息，2014 年預計將推出兩款 AMOLED 的高階平板搶市。

《CNET》報導，韓國媒體周五消息指出，三星計畫推出 8 吋、10 吋兩款螢幕尺寸的平板，皆採 AMOLED 螢幕，且這兩款都將會是頂級系列，代表售價將不便宜。

根據報導，其中一款將與 Galaxy S5 於明年同時推出，消息來源指出，三星希望可以直接與蘋果的 iPad、iPad mini 競爭，目前 iPad 和 iPad mini 都還採用 LED 顯示器。

AMOLED 顯示器看來將會是三星未來的主打特色裝備，日前推出的 Galaxy Rounf 手機也配備了 AMOLED 螢幕。
