新加坡暴動　警察總監：40年頭一遭

【李忠謙／綜合外電報導】新加坡的小印度區昨晚9時許發生暴動，導致10名警員受傷、5輛警車、1輛救護車與多輛私人轎車受損，新加坡警方已逮捕27名嫌犯。警察總監稱，這是至少40年來星國首起暴動事件，強調破壞財產與對抗警察並非星國作風。

據星國警方表示，這起暴動發生在當地時間9時23分左右，一名33歲的印度外勞被巴士撞倒，導致附近約4百名外勞暴動。警方到場後約1小時控制情況，新加坡副總理兼內政部長張志賢說：「這是一起嚴重的事故，但已經受到控制，警方將全力逮捕肇事者。」
