倫敦市長：貪婪可刺激經濟

（法新社倫敦27日電） 倫敦市長強生（BorisJohnson）今天在推崇英國前首相「鐵娘子」佘契爾夫人的演說中，闡述他所謂現代版「佘契爾主義」觀點，讚揚貪婪是「刺激經濟活動的寶貴動力」。

強生在政策研究中心（Centre for PolicyStudies）舉辦的佘契爾夫人（Maggie Thatcher）年度講座中，發表這番看法，顯然是針對右翼保守黨。有許多人認為強生志在成為保守黨黨魁。

他說：「我認為經濟平等是不可能的。事實上，一些不平等措施對激發嫉妒精神、追上愛炫富的鄰居家庭而言是很重要的，就像貪婪，它是刺激經濟活動的寶貴動力。」

強生更拿自己與佘契爾夫人做比較，他說：「我意識到，有人可能會對我有何施政妙計、如果換成佘契爾夫人她會怎麼做，還有政府將會怎麼做或正在進行的做法感到困惑。」

他說：「我並不覺得這很重要，因為三者最終結果可能都一致、都相同。」
