甘比亞籍公費生　教育部：將讀完本學期

【蔡永彬／台北報導】4天前甘比亞片面宣布和我國斷交，在交涉無效後，我方今天也宣布和甘比亞斷交；然而，甘比亞還有267個學生在台灣讀書，其中175人領取我國公費。教育部表示，原則上讓甘比亞籍公費生讀完這學期，之後看學校有無幫他們籌錢，或是他們是否要自己出錢；若沒有完成學業，我方也不會授予學位。

教育部部長蔣偉寧表示，甘比亞籍公費生的經費來源包括國家科學委員會、外交部等，還有一些合作專班，基於人道、教育考量，會讓他們讀完這學期，至於自費生則不受影響。

教育部技術及職業教育司司長李彥儀指出，若有甘比亞籍公費生在學期結束後想留在台灣，就只能看學校或他個人有沒有錢。李彥儀說，他們是甘比亞政府派過來的，學位問題「應該是甘比亞自己要處理。」
