（軍聞社記者郭家良臺北十六日電）國軍花蓮總醫院今天在進豐院區舉辦「響應世界糖尿病日衛教活動暨癌篩園遊會」活動，提供身高、體重、腰圍、體脂肪、血壓與血糖檢測等免費健康檢查，以及相關醫學護理諮詢，讓花蓮地區民眾瞭解並重視糖尿病與肥胖、新陳代謝症候群的相關性，凝聚社區健康共識，持續照護東部地區鄉親健康。

　花蓮總醫院表示，適逢世界糖尿病日，該院特別結合社區信仰中心帝君廟舉辦此次的衛教活動，除了一般健檢外，另設有癌篩、糖尿病核心諮詢、醫學美容諮詢、無痛大腸鏡諮詢及身心壓力檢測等，更安排園遊會、闖關活動和跳蚤商品義賣等，期能透過寓教於樂的方式，增進鄉親間情感聯繫，並展現該院對社區的關懷。

　花蓮總醫院特別呼籲，糖尿病常與心血管疾病很有關係，糖尿病患者最好早期就偵測是否有心血管疾病，並要做好糖尿病的飲食控制，若屬於糖尿病高危險群，更要定期做檢查，並建立規律運動、健康飲食、拒菸、節制飲酒等良好生活型態，確實控制血糖，避免各種慢性合併症發生。
