海燕重創菲 死亡人數恐逾萬

史上登陸菲律賓的最強颱風海燕，單單是在菲律賓中部城市（獨魯萬），恐怕就奪走了一萬條人命。

獨魯萬所在的禮智省省長依據各地提供的傷亡通報，估計死亡人數可能會到達萬人。多數罹難者都是溺斃或是被倒塌的房屋壓死。海燕颱風星期五席捲菲律賓中部六個島嶼，今天，它的威力已經減弱，目前正在向越南北部接近，當局撤離了五十萬沿海居民。

菲律賓內政部說，救災作業正在積極進行，他們估計死傷數字可能會很驚人，災區受創程度超乎想像，所有基礎設施，包括通訊、電力和供水，全部中斷，它們幾乎沒有辦法與災區取得聯繫。
