〔自由時報記者吳昇儒／基隆報導〕基隆市暖暖區71歲林姓老翁，昨遲未返家，林妻傍晚跟兒子、媳婦一起外出尋找，抵達七堵區時，林妻想上廁所，並叫兒子打父親的手機，不料，進廁所後突然衝出說：「我聽到男廁裡有電話響」，老翁的兒子赫見父親倒在地上，趕緊求救，卻回天乏術。

承辦員警表示，死者由暖暖一路散步運動到七堵的加油站上洗手間，步行大約需一個半小時，他的妻子竟剛好到這家加油站上廁所，究竟是兩人冥冥之中有感應，還是單純巧合？員警議論紛紛。

林翁的兒子向警方說，聽見媽媽大喊，好像聽到手機鈴聲在響，要他趕緊查看，但男廁的身心障礙廁所反鎖，趕緊拆下廁所後方窗戶入內。

林男表示，當時父親雙手握拳全身向前傾倒，呈現跪姿，疑似上廁所上到一半，突然心臟病發作。他將門打開後，加油站員工幫忙急救，救護人員也抵達救護，可惜林翁身上已發黑。警方初步了解，死者有心臟疾病，疑舊疾發作造成憾事。
