| 《Final Fantasy XIV：新生艾奧傑亞》測試帳號註冊破百萬組 官方將製作雙平台佈景主題

Square Enix 宣佈，正在 PC 及 PlayStation3 平台上進行測試中的多人線上角色扮演遊戲《Final Fantasy XIV：新生艾奧傑亞》，開放給全球註冊 Beta 測試帳號的數量已經超過一百萬組，為了紀念這個成績，官方釋出了包涵新職業「巴術士」在內的八位職業美術原畫 ，同時宣佈將進行 PC 及 PlayStation3 版的特製佈景主題製作。
《Final Fantasy XIV：新生艾奧傑亞》是將 2010 年 9 月開始營運的《Final Fantasy XIV》經由製作人吉田直樹接手，借鏡歐美 MMORPG 的系統優點，將遊戲內容架構改進增強的大型改版，以「第七靈災」浩劫後重生的世界「艾奧傑亞」為舞台。玩家將扮演受水晶遴選的冒險者，對抗來自於蠻族以及北方迦雷瑪爾的全新威脅。
《Final Fantasy XIV：新生艾奧傑亞》PC 和 PS3 兩大遊戲平台將同時於 8 月 27 日發售，BETA 測試第三階段已從 6 月 14 日開始加入 PS3 平台的測試，使用 PS3 與 PC 端的玩家將可以一同進行冒險。

| 不堪虧損 東京電力申請安全審查

日本媒體報導，經營福島第一核電廠的東京電力公司（東電）今天決定將向政府申請新潟縣柏崎刈羽核電廠的安全審查，以利早日重啟核電廠，讓公司財務轉虧為盈。
柏崎刈羽核電廠是東電的主力發電廠，東電今天召開董事會正式決定，位於新潟縣的柏崎刈羽核電廠當中，希望能將實施加強抗震措施的6號機、7號機組儘速向政府提出申請，接受安全審查。日本的電力公司如果要重啟核電廠，必須符合日本原子能規制委員會8日起施行的新的安全標準。
但是，柏崎刈羽核電廠所在地新潟縣縣知事（縣長）泉田裕彥多次表示，福島第一核電廠核災事故尚未釐清之際，無法談是否重啟核電廠。
