【突發中心／新北報導】昨天晚間10時許，坪林九芎根傳出民宅火警，1棟2層樓的木造房屋起火燃燒，火勢還波及到隔壁屋子，警消獲報立即派遣人車前往，約半小時將火勢控制，目前正在殘火處理。稍早一度傳出有1名30多歲男子受困，事後證實該男在屋外的山坡躲避，並無大礙，結束一場虛驚。
 
坪林2棟木造房屋的燃燒面積共為90坪，屋主表示，他兒子原本在2樓屋頂用水管救火，但住戶撤出時沒有看到他，以為他還在屋內。警消進行搜索，才發現他躲在屋外，僅輕微被煙嗆到，不需要送醫。目前起火原因由警消調查中。

【綜合報導】英國普茲茅斯日前發生一名男子，將蟒蛇圍在脖子上，準備搭乘計程車時，遭司機拒載，男子遂將蟒蛇丟到一旁圍欄裡，之後搭車離去。
 
由於先前加拿大才傳出2個小男孩遭蟒蛇捲死，這條被隨意丟棄的蟒蛇，引發民眾大為恐慌，警方也展開大陣仗搜索，但目前尚未尋獲。
