【綜合報導】不少人都有沉迷上網的問題，兩名麻省理工的學生就發明了一個名叫Pavlov Poke的儀器，將可能可以解決沉迷網路的問題。
Pavlov Poke是一個連接電腦及鍵盤的儀器，打開開關，儀器可以偵測到電腦使用者瀏覽的網站。當使用者長時間停留在某個網站或討論區太久時，鍵盤下的小型電子板會發出微量的電流，讓使用者產生刺痛感，提醒他們不要再掛網了。這個儀器同樣也能幫助使用者，戒除沉迷某些特定網站像是臉書等。
發明這個儀器的麻省理工學生指，Pavlov Poke有助他們更有效率地工作，而通過的電流只屬非常微量，不會對人體有傷害。

| 【短片】蝸牛走多快？ 英學者進行研究

【綜合報導】英國艾克斯特大學(University of Exeter)近日進行蝸牛走多快的研究，最後發現，蝸牛平均每小時可以走1公尺，甚至會變成散播犬類傳染病的關鍵動物。
該研究針對450隻蝸牛進行研究，並在蝸牛身上裝上LED裝置。結果顯示，這些蝸牛在24小時內可以跑25公尺，換句話說，平均每小時能走1公尺。主導研究的霍吉森博士(Dave Hodgson)說，這些蝸牛跟人類相比雖然「跑不快」，但牠仍有每小時1公尺的行走速度，有足夠的時間到各處散播病菌，甚至進一步造成狗狗染病死亡。

| 《晴空物語》勇闖「晴空城」100層 玩家化身秘寶獵人打擊魔物

無懼颱風來襲，《晴空物語》今日（8 月 23 日）將「晴空城」開放至 100 層，玩家可挑戰更強的魔物，從中蒐集各種技能書。另外，活動期間商城消費達 500 點，即可獲得虛寶回饋。玩家還可穿上帥氣的秘寶獵人時裝，騎乘獅王座騎，展開最華麗的冒險旅程。
「晴空城」新樓層開放 挑戰霸主蒐集限定座騎
今日「晴空城」由原先的 50 層樓加開至 100 層，除了怪物的數量大幅增加外，王怪等級強度與難度也隨之增強。每當玩家通過五個關卡，並將關卡中鎮守的王怪擊敗，將有機會獲得技能書寶箱，可從寶箱中隨機開出一本技能書。除了舊有的一至三階技能書寶箱外，本次開放的樓層中，王怪將會掉落四階及五階的技能書寶箱。
從 50 層開始，關卡的難易度也隨之提升，在擊敗「晴空天神龜」的關卡中，玩家將在神龜行進中受到「麻痺之靈」與「極速之靈」的干擾；而在「保衛守護之塔」中，將會出現「牽制之靈」阻撓玩家，並且最後一波怪物將額外出現幽魂襲擊！此外，80 層開始後，除了有機會獲得技能書寶箱，王怪也會掉落技能書碎頁，當集滿 5 片同階級的技能書碎頁後，玩家即可跟 NPC 購買書皮合成一本技能書。更具挑戰性、獎勵更豐厚的闖關遊戲，是不是讓你心動了呢？

最後，在玩家抵達 100 層時，將出現「晴空城」的終極霸主「火拳兒」。擊敗火拳兒後，玩家將有機會獲得「傳說的火拳兒戰鬥座騎」、「狂嵐的火拳兒戰鬥座騎」或「幸運轉蛋」等超值好寶。想獲得最酷炫的座騎嗎？快來挑戰「晴空城」吧！

【李定宇／新北報導】配合內政部營建署補助獎勵，新北市成立租屋服務平台，協助中低所得家庭或一般民眾的租屋服務，預計今年9月平台可正式上線。
新北市城鄉局表示，租屋服務平台採用公開招標委外辦理，今日經審查2家廠商符合資格，預計28日公開評選，最快今年9月即可上線，屆時服務平台不僅協助中低所得家庭及愛心房東「好屋速配」，還提供民眾多元租屋資訊。

| 野鵝占領海灘 加拿大派無人機驅趕

【綜合報導】加拿大首都渥太華政府今日下令，將出動無人直升機來驅趕一處沙灘上的野鵝，因為牠們常在海灘附近隨地大小便，不僅汙染環境，也引發衛生憂慮。
據了解，當地政府曾經利用警犬、爆炸聲、食物引誘等多種方法試圖趕走野鵝，但都沒有奏效，甚至為此將海灘關閉13天，就是要破除野鵝的「占領計畫」。目前當地政府出動無人直升機，希望能強迫這群野鵝離開。當局則表示，目前對新方法有信心，也期待會奏效。
