【孫英哲／彰化報導】喊了３０幾年的員林鎮改制為市一案，彰化縣政府繼舉辦多場下鄉說明會後，今天在員林演藝廳舉辦「員林升市」學術論壇，邀請相關地方人士與台灣大學教授團展開論壇。會中彰化縣長卓伯源主推合併員林鎮附近的大村、永靖、埔心及社頭等四鄉鎮部分行政區，建構成大員林市，讓員林鎮在土地及人口都增加下，符合改制為市的條件。

縣長卓伯源強調，員林鎮改制為市後，將成為南彰化的核心城市，可有效帶動區域發展。

雖然彰縣府主推透過合併鄰近鄉鎮行政區的方式，促成「員林升市」，但大村、永靖、埔心及社頭四鄉鎮首長全都痛批該作法太一廂情願。大村鄉長張良烟指出，把大村鄉內的大葉大學、正新輪胎公司及美利達公司等最菁華繁榮的地區割給員林後，請問大村還剩下什麼？社頭鄉長蕭如意則表示，割地成就員林升格一案不可行，社頭人不可能坐視發生「員林活絡、社頭沒落」的情況。

永靖鄉長李詩焱說，成就一個員林鎮之後，將讓四個鄉鎮都陣亡，與會台大教授團未站在地方的立場，發言太過一廂情願。埔心鄉長徐平圳則指出，員林改制這個案子有圖利之嫌，何不員林鎮將土地割給其他四鄉鎮？

【何哲欣／台北報導】有意參選台北市長的台大醫師柯文哲，前晚拜會民進黨主席蘇貞昌，蘇昨吐槽說，將近1小時的會談，「都是他（柯）在講，教我怎麼選舉」。柯文哲上午受訪說，只有3個人的會談，不需要拿到外面渲染，他不會覺得蘇有什麼特別的意思，「沒有惡言相向，都還好，聽聽就好」。

柯也呼籲媒體，人與人之間，不要抓住一句話，就拿來解釋他的觀感，不用這麼鑽牛角尖。

至於是否要參選，柯說，還是要繼續說服父親，228事件對父親影響很大，父親因此很反對他參選，認為在台大當醫生就好，只能再慢慢溝通，如果連自己父親都無法溝通，以後會更困難。

【張麗娜／台北報導】總統馬英九上午接受台北之音「蔻蔻早餐」節目專訪，民進黨發言人林俊憲表示，北檢已針對違法洩密、濫權監聽啟動調查，總統做為檢察總長黃世銘洩密案的被調查對象，公開受訪談論案情，非常不應該，是公開與黃世銘、行政院長江宜樺甚至參與此事的幕僚「空中串供」；此外，馬的總統專訪爆料，也有許多違反常理與矛盾說謊之處，愈描愈黑。

林指出馬總統說法有很多說謊與矛盾之處，包括一、時間兜不攏：馬說黃世銘是8月31日晚上8點半找他，但媒體報導黃是在8月31日晚間特偵組傳訊林秀濤、陳正芬兩位檢察官製作筆錄後，深夜11點才去找馬總統。

二、總統洩密：馬總統說他8月31日晚上8點半接受黃世銘洩密後，他10點找來江宜樺、羅智強討論，所以洩密的不只是黃，總統還把不法監聽的偵查中內容洩給行政院長和幕僚們。

三：迴避問題：馬總統9月1日再度召見黃世銘談了30分鐘，馬總統說他只跟黃表達「尊重」兩字；馬也不否認特偵組記者會後曾打電話給黃世銘，但打幾次馬已經忘記了。林質疑有可能會不記得嗎？還是打了太多通電話？兩人究竟談了什麼？問哪些事？馬總統難道都沒有指示？馬總統迴避問題、說謊，愈描愈黑。
