44歲的戈登柏格（David Goldberg）沒什麼沒見識過。他26歲把第一家創辦的公司以1,200萬美元賣給雅虎，曾出任雅虎音樂服務主管、在標竿資本當駐點創業家，然後買下新創網路問卷服務商SurveyMonkey、發展為規模數十億美元的事業。碰巧，他也是臉書營運長桑柏格的老公。

富比世雜誌形容，桑柏格是全世界最有權勢的女性之一。

她與戈登柏格相識於1996年，當時兩人都在洛杉磯工作。戈登柏格說：「我們一起吃晚餐、看了場電影，覺得一拍即合。看電影時她靠在我肩頭睡著了，感覺不壞。雖然後來我才發現，她每次看電影必打瞌睡，無論是誰提供肩膀。但那時對我來說這很美好。」

儘管桑柏格同時也與其他人約會，且隨後搬到華盛頓，但她與戈登柏格仍是好友。兩人闊別六年後又再度走在一起。

戈登柏格說：「我們每天會詢問對方建議。有個事業傑出的伴侶是很棒的事。無須預約就能徵詢她的意見，對我的團隊也是，我總是說『雪莉這麼認為』。」

戈登柏格贊同工作與生活應該平衡。他以家庭為根本，並以身作則。雖然事業繁忙，他與桑柏格都準時在五點半下班。

他說：「我們特別對此做出決定，要回家陪伴兒女。晚上六點到八點我想待在家與小孩一起。若需要應酬，我會安排在八點以後，等孩子們都上床。」

身為SurveyMonkey執行長，戈登柏格與其他看重成功的企業主管不同，他更強調失敗的重要。「想要雇用優秀的人，也得給他們機會嘗試失敗。你必須讓他們自己摸索解決問題。如果他們一再犯錯，你可能就得另覓人才，少了這種機會，他們無法學習成長，也不會去嘗試。」

SurveyMonkey會聘請沒什麼經驗的商學院畢業生，也會雇用業界老手。戈登柏格說，聘用在自己的弱勢領域有長才的人，不只節省成本，也比試圖把自己的弱點變強來得實際。

開會對企業而言雖是溝通與分享資訊的必要管道，但戈登柏格每周最多只安排三次例行會議。「我認為開會很浪費時間，我盡量只召開必要的會議。但我每天都花許多時間進行非正式交談，不論是我找上他們，或他們走到辦公桌前和我談話。」（綜合外電）

標題[討論] 看見台灣的場景

今天在中壢星橋「看見臺灣」，明明是假日，卻帶著沈重的心情走出電影院，雖然早就有 心理準備了，但看著這片土地被我們一點一滴的摧殘，心裡還是大受影響。早有耳聞的各 項環境問題，在直昇機的高度下，以更驚人的視覺規模呈現它的破壞力。 到底有多少人看不見或是假裝看不見呢，今天在中壢的場次大概只有三四分滿吧。即使在 桃園有1800張的優惠票，但並未感受到相對應的人數，心中多少有點失望。畢竟電影還是 算娛樂產業，並不是那麼多人想要來電影院帶著沈重的心情渡過假日。也許就是不願面對 ，讓我們走到今天這一步。人們之於大地，難道就沒有更平衡的相處模式嗎？其實大家都 知道答案，只是在各方角力下，環保很難是大家考量的首要條件，不久的以後(或是就是 現在了)，自食惡果應該就是我們唯一的結局。 這部片我不會推薦大家一定要到電影院看(畢竟大部分的人看電影只是為了放鬆)，但是一 定要找機會看，身為一個台灣的子民，多了解一下我們對她的所作所為，應該不為過吧。 後來趁著對影像還有一些印象，利用google map找一些場景找了出來 有興趣的人可以自已看看，抽水管那塊用街景看可能更明顯 http://goo.gl/IoGjUr 希望有人也可以一起分享其它場景 -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 1.34.175.179

生死的智慧：柯文哲 (Wen-je Ko) at TEDxTaipei 2013

【黃揚明／台北報導】台灣勞工陣線秘書長孫友聯傍晚在臉書質疑，某位名醫在演講中將病患照片未經處理就公布，並強調，「雖然這位名醫最近很紅，但我對這樣的事深深不以為然！而且已經觸法了吧！」《蘋果》致電孫友聯，他證實這位名醫就是被認為有意參選台北市長的台大醫師柯文哲。

柯文哲是在9月28日於華山1914文創園區應「TEDxTaipei2013」邀請演講，演講開場不久（影片1分42秒起），他就以播放一位躺在病床上的女病患照片，並介紹她是歌手周杰倫的舞群，因罹患猛爆性心肌炎而送醫救治。柯文哲還強調：「她當時躺在病床的時候，為什麼特別給他照一張呢？她的眼睛大大的，看著她的螢幕，可是她的螢幕全部是平的，因為他猛爆性心肌炎喔！她的心臟都不跳了！」

隨後柯文哲播放這位患者的心肌病理切片放大圖片，強調她的病情很嚴重，但經過心臟與腎臟移植，「不到一個月就回去跳舞了！」柯還說：「這是現代醫學的奇蹟耶！在醫學的文獻上，CPR（心肺復甦術）最久還救回來的就是這個案例，（花了）4個小時！」

孫友聯說，顧及病患隱私，無論患者是否同意，醫師都不該這樣把她的病情這樣公開討論，尤其病患躺在病床上的照片連馬賽克都沒有，「這是有問題的！」

【李忠謙／綜合外電報導】土耳其武裝部隊總參謀部昨發表聲明，稱發現敘利亞一架戰機飛近土敘邊界，土耳其軍方立即從邊境空軍基地出動戰機攔截，但敘國戰機在飛近土敘邊界約6公里處立即調轉。

 土耳其軍方的聲明稱，偵測到敘利亞一架蘇愷24戰機飛近敘利亞與土耳其哈塔伊省邊界，土耳其空軍隨即派出兩架F-16戰機前去攔截。土國軍方表示，10月份以來，土軍已多次派出戰機攔截飛近土敘邊界的敘利亞戰機。

【李忠謙／綜合外電報導】罕見的日環食3日現身天際，包括大西洋西部、非洲中部的民眾都可以觀測到這項奇特的天文現象。據外媒報導，21世紀僅有7次全環食，上一次是在2005年4月8日，下一次則要等到2023年4月20日。

這次是由美國南部居民最先見到日環食，之後在大西洋另一邊的非洲居民可見日全食，最佳觀測點是肯亞。南美洲北部、歐洲南部、亞洲西南部等地區可以見到日偏食。
