【於慶中／綜合外電報導】上周在南非已故前總統曼德拉(Nelson Mandela)追悼大會上，替各國政要擔任現場即時手語傳譯的34歲男子詹捷(Thamsanqa Jantjie)，事後引來無數罵聲，也讓南非政府成為全球笑柄，雖然他聲稱自己多年來受到精神分裂症困擾、當天在台上看到天使飛來飛去等，但始終無法證實他當天真的是「有狀況」。
根據南非《星報》的報導，詹捷前天(17日)就被送入約翰尼斯堡一家精神病院接受治療，他的妻子表示：「過去幾天真的相當難熬，詹捷都快崩潰了，但我們還是支持他」。詹捷在妻子陪同下，前天到精神病院做檢查，醫師建議立即入院接受治療。
