11年前的今天發生了319槍擊案，為了喚醒大家的回憶，王炳忠在臉書自掀在建中就讀高二的陳年照，而特別的是這張照片的圖說指王炳忠是「一個操著典雅閩南語的建中生」。

王炳忠說發生319槍擊案的當晚，他跑去中正紀念堂、第一次站上了肥皂箱發言，當時還被拍下放進了楊祖珺主編的《我在凱達格蘭等你：2004年320-520抗爭紀實》。王炳忠說，他是大一時偶然逛重慶南路書店時翻到了這頁。網友回應，原來王炳忠那麼早就參與政治，也有人調侃他說：「當時有唱嗎？」（即時新聞中心／綜合報導）
