68年最嚴重大旱　但中市消防栓一直噴水

下午三點三十分左右，位在中市中清路二段、雷中街口的一座消防栓，被一輛送麵包的貨車撞到，噴出大量消防用水，民眾經過發現報案，警方和消防隊員均已到場處理。正值缺水期間，民眾看到珍貴的水源白白流失，忍不住直呼「好可惜喔！」（張惠凱／台中報導）
