台灣發現最古老人類「澎湖原人」化石

國立自然科學博物館下午在台大醫院國際會議中心舉行「澎湖原人」記者會，由台、日、澳學者跨國合作，在澎湖水道海域發現具有直立人特徵的澎湖原人（Penghu 1）下顎骨化石，距今約45萬至19萬年，是台灣目前發現最古老的人類化石。

這項研究受到國際學術界矚目，登上今天（27日）的「自然通訊雜誌」（Nature Communications），。
