美國紐約時間1月7日上午，美中關係大陸全國委員會（NCUSCR）與北京大學大陸經濟研究中心在紐約證券交易所，聯合舉辦『大陸經濟：2015預測』研討會。會議邀請了大陸經濟學家林毅夫，北京大學國家發展研究院院長姚洋，大陸宏觀經濟研究中心主任盧鋒，經濟學家黃益平，博源基金會理事長秦曉，以及中金公司董事總經理黃海洲等多位知名經濟學者和高管，共同討論大陸經濟發展前景。

根據鳳凰財經報導期間，林毅夫接受採訪時表示，中美經濟會朝向雙贏的方向發展。美國經濟復甦會給大陸的出口帶來轉機，使得大陸經濟更健康有利。目前大陸是世界第一大貿易國，就像市場中的大鯊魚，其經濟增長的起落勢必會影響到整個市場。

林毅夫說，大陸目前和美國的經濟差距，相當於日本在1950年代、新加坡在1960年代中，以及韓國在1970年代中和美國的差距。這幾個經濟體利用自身的後發優勢，維持20年7.6％至9.2％的增長，從這一點上來看，大陸也有15到20年每年7％至8％的增長潛力。
