巨人隊確定用2名小聯盟投手與馬林魚隊交易三壘手Casey McGehee，替補 Pablo Sandoval轉隊到紅襪之後的遺缺。

32歲的Casey McGehee，生涯曾效力小熊、釀酒人、海盜跟洋基，2012年季中，Casey McGehee遭洋基釋出，隔年轉戰日本職棒樂天隊，2013年Casey McGehee在樂天144場全勤出賽，打擊率2成92、全壘打28支、打點93分，是樂天能夠贏得總冠軍的大功臣。

Casey McGehee效力樂天期間，人氣相當高，當時球迷都希望他可以續留樂天，不過Casey McGehee決定返美加入馬林魚隊；今年Casey McGehee在馬林魚出賽160場，繳出打擊率2成87、全壘打4支、打點76分的漂亮成績單，季後獲選國家聯盟東山再起獎。

Pablo Sandoval離開巨人隊，巨人隊決定交易Casey McGehee來補這個遺缺。能回到距離老家不遠的舊金山，Casey McGehee非常開心，期待明年球季也能有精采表現。
