火箭本季熱身賽表現強勢，今在主場迎戰太陽，雖然「大鬍子」哈登(James Harden)和「魔獸」霍華(Dwight Howard)都因傷缺陣，但火箭仍在第4節打出31比22攻勢，完成驚奇逆轉，終場以95比92奪3連勝。
 
火箭年輕小將瓊斯(Terrence Jones)拿下18分、7籃板、2助攻、3抄截和1阻攻，替補控衛坎南(Isaiah Canaan)上場18分鐘就攻得16分、3籃板、3助攻。太陽則以先發雙衛布萊索(Eric Bledsoe)和崔吉奇(Goran Dragic)表現最佳，各攻下13分和12分。（陳雍仁／綜合報導）
