UNESCO：海地殘骸非哥倫布旗艦

（法新社巴黎6日電） 聯合國教科文組織（UNESCO）今天表示，聯合國專家斷定，海地外海的殘骸不是哥倫布（Christopher Columbus）首航美洲的旗艦，與1位美國海洋考古學家的聲稱相左。

聯合國教科文組織在聲明中宣布：「如今有確鑿證據證明，那艘船的殘骸年代更晚。」

美國海底探險家柯立福（Bill Clifford）5月宣布，他相信他已找到聖瑪麗亞號（Santa Maria）的殘骸，也就是哥倫布首度橫越大西洋的3艘船之一。

聯合國教科文組織應政府要求，派專家團隊到海地檢視在那塊區域發現的殘骸。哥倫布於500多年前曾表示，聖瑪麗亞號在海地外海觸礁。
