鐵路高架化　涂醒哲批：嘉市0進度

民進黨嘉義市長候選人涂醒哲，今天召開「鐵路高架化」記者會指出，26年了，嘉義市民還要等多久？從2008年馬英九的愛台十二建設承諾鐵路高架化直到現在，嘉義市進度仍是零。
 
涂醒哲表示，台鐵縱貫鐵路從南北貫穿嘉義，市民需經過5個平交道、4個地下道、3個陸橋，市府延宕鐵路高架化的工程，嚴重阻礙城市的發展。2006年行政院核定至今，相關工程仍毫無進度，對比行政院同期核定的員林與台中都已動工且預定於103年底與104年底完工，這也暴露出馬英九政府長期對嘉義市的忽視。
 
涂醒哲拍胸脯強調，嘉義市民不能再等了，鐵路高架化，他當選一定保證動工；未來會積極與市議會溝通，讓鐵路高架化能以最快的時間動工，讓嘉義的東西區能均衡發展，引進百貨、超商或暢貨中心，將可使未來嘉義市的都市發展更加完整及一體化。（徐彩媚／嘉義報導）
