楊秋興批調查高雄氣爆慢半拍　監院聲明駁斥

國民黨高雄市長參選人楊秋興昨質疑，北市夜店殺警案，監委隨即組成專案小組調查，高雄市氣爆事件造成32條人命死亡，監院遲遲才要調查，明顯重北輕南。監察院今發聲明澄清，強調監委依《憲法》獨立行使職權，絕不隨外界起舞，僅問是非，不問南北，盼各界明察尊重。
 
高雄氣爆事件專案小組5位監委聯合發表聲明指出，731高雄驚天氣爆釀成32死，300餘人受傷的重大災害，行政機關既已動員大部分人力刻正投入救災及復原工作，為避免影響千頭萬緒的重建大業，各界自應給予行政機關緩衝時間以為因應，此與純屬治安與警察風紀事件，無需災後重建的台北市夜店殺警案，難以互相類比。（吳家翔╱台北報導）
