韋蘭德回穩　老虎痛擊皇家續坐美中榜首

「虎王」韋蘭德(Justin Verlander)，本季表現雖不佳，但在晉級季後賽的關鍵時刻，今天他及時回穩，面對競爭分區冠軍的強敵皇家，先發7.1局僅失1分，搭配隊友全場敲出19支安打攻進10分，以10比1擊敗皇家，在美聯中區也以1.5場勝差領先皇家，暫居榜首。
 
老虎首局就展開猛烈攻勢，單局敲出5支安打攻進3分，讓韋蘭德吃進定心丸，前7局都讓皇家打者無功而返，直到第8局才失掉1分，但此時老虎早已拉開比數。
 
皇家先發投手瓦嘉斯(Jason Vargas)，僅投3.1局就被擊出9支安打，失掉5分KO下場。皇家輸球後，不僅被老虎拉開差距，連晉級季後賽也出現危機，水手今天痛擊太空人，只在美聯外卡榜落後0.5場，隨時有可能超車。（王翊亘／綜合報導）
