根據央視報導，大陸最高人民檢察院，今天正式批准逮捕房祖名之後，案件很快就要進入司法程序，而房祖名罪名若成立，將被判處3年以下有期徒刑、拘役或管制，且根據已經披露的案情看來，他被判處緩刑的可能性很低，除非有重大立功表現，才有望緩刑。

而一直在外奔走的成龍，雖然透過各種管道，想方設法為兒子爭取緩刑，但由於大陸國家主席習近平，今年大力掃毒，官方打算殺一儆百，所以房祖名想獲得緩刑的機會，難度頗高。

此外也傳出，由於成龍與江澤民派系關係千絲萬縷，更增加「營救」的難度，而且到現在，成龍夫婦仍未能見上兒子一面，只能靠律師傳話。
