英婦罹患卵巢癌　確診4日即死亡

英國南約克郡一名女子，身體突然感到痛楚，到醫院檢查確診患上卵巢癌，不料4日後便死亡。

43歲的雷切爾（Rachelle Beckett），今年5月偕伴侶前往希臘旅遊，途中突然感到痛楚，回國後便由家庭醫生轉介至醫院進行檢查，最終確診患上卵巢癌，並發現癌細胞已經擴散至肝臟、肺部及胃部。

雷切爾確診患癌後，健康已開始轉差，無法接受化療，6月27日離世，由確診到離世僅短短4天。有醫生指出，卵巢癌患者往往很難發現病徵，到發現患病時，病情可能已達晚期，又指停經後的婦女較易患上卵巢癌，但其他年齡的婦女亦有可能罹患此惡疾。（國際中心／綜合外電報導）
