新院士／非學者出線…林本堅硬底子

中央研究院第30屆院士出爐，台積電技術副總林本堅成為首位非學者當選院士的業界人士。由於林本堅也是令台積電奈米技術三級跳的功臣，同仁聞訊後直喊：「讚! 」

中研院第30屆院士出爐，今年共有18位新科院士，數理組新科院士有七人、生命科學組七人、人文組四人，林本堅成為首位非學者當選院士的業界人士。

台積電同仁得知林本堅當選中研院院士的消息後，直呼「好讚」。台積電表示，林本堅在微影領域有非常重大成就，為他能獲選國家級院士感到高興。

林本堅，1963年畢業於台大電機系，隨後赴美國俄亥俄州立大學深造，獲得電機碩士與博士學位。

林本堅曾任IBM研發部經理、美商領創總經理，2000年加入台積電，曾任奈米製像技術發展處資深處長，目前擔任研發副總經理。他除獲選為美國國家工程師院士，也於去年獲選為工研院院士，今年再當選中研院院士，榮耀加級。
