赴美逾期停留　台女將遭遣返

自台灣納入美國免簽證，台人赴美次數大幅增加，享有90停留免簽證優待。不過，上月一位劉姓台籍女性持免簽赴美，因逾期停留遭到美移民署拘留，移送水牛城的監獄，準備在近期遭遣返回台。外交部北美司副司長梁毅鵬提醒，民眾以免簽方式赴美商旅時，務必要遵守規則，備好回程機票與遵守停留期限，以免因逾期停留紀錄，日後再度申請免簽遭拒。

梁毅鵬指出，這位台灣女性因在美逾期停留，欲赴加拿大訪友時，被加國海關拒絕入境，她要再入境美國時，美國海關發現逾期停留記錄，因此遭拘留，最快在一周內就會遣返她回台。據了解，這位台灣女性的友人提出願意負擔遣返機票費用，美方因此同意儘速將這名女性遣返回台。外交部官員說，許多鄰近友好國家的海關資料都會互通，若有這一國家有逾期停留等記錄，的確可能會影響入境到另一國家。（陳培煌╱台北報導）
