（中央社亞歷桑那州埃洛伊3日綜合外電報導）超過220名跳傘好手今天在亞歷桑那州躍出機門後，如自由落體墜落並牽手編隊，再開傘落地，想締造高空跳傘世界紀錄，不料1人在這項大膽行動中摔死，使壯舉成慘劇。

美聯社報導，活動地點亞歷桑那州高空跳傘場（Skydive Arizona）表示，這次意外肇因一具降落傘故障，而且因為太接近地面才開傘，再開啟副傘時已來不及完全張開。這名跳傘好手當場宣告死亡。

主辦活動的世界隊（World Team）發言人吉伯特（Gulcin Gilbert）表示：「這與參與人數或飛機無關。全怪降落傘故障。」

參與挑戰編隊跳傘世界紀錄的222位好手來自28個國家，他們由5486公尺高度躍出機門，要在如同自由落體墜落時編成兩個隊型，然後才開傘降落，但最後並未能完成編隊，沒能締造世界紀錄。(中央社)
