澳洲軍機已回基地　今日搜索無功而返

澳洲皇家空軍其中一架「獵戶座」(Orion)巡邏機，在南印度洋經過一天搜索後，暫時沒有任何發現，已經返回基地。

該巡邏機從當地時間上午6時起，從珀斯以南的基地出發，飛往珀斯西南部約2500公里海域，搜索疑似失蹤客機的漂浮物，可是巡邏機搜索逾9小時後，仍未有任何收獲，直到下午4時返回基地。

負責駕駛巡邏機的飛行員表示，今天搜索區域的天氣比昨天好，能見度超過10公里，可惜仍未能有進一步發現，但相信若天氣狀況持續改善，必定或有所發現。澳洲今天共派出5架飛機，前往發現不明物的海域進行搜索，目前仍有兩架飛機在執行搜救任務。（於慶中／綜合外電報導）
