史上首獲日本天皇賜杯的歐洲人，保加利亞相撲力士琴歐洲勝紀，宣布引退，在記者會上含淚說明理由。
 
「体がぼろぼろで、思うように相撲をとることができませんでした。日本に来て、お相撲さんになって本当に良かった」。
 
「身體已經破損不堪，思考後覺得已經無法再進行相撲比賽，來到日本，成為相撲力士真的太好了」。
