華裔女性藍可兒死亡事件震驚全球，案發至今超過一年，她生前詭異舉動依舊不得其解，最後判定意外身亡。外媒報導某編劇兄弟檔改編該事件成恐怖片劇本，日前以30萬美金賣給索尼影業，引起不少網友撻伐，砲轟索尼發死人財。

藍可兒案發生於2013年2月，案發地點先前早有多起命案，她死後更屢傳詭異現象，加上死因離奇，格外受到關注，不僅吸引多位導演計畫翻拍，張家輝更在自導自演電影中加入電梯遇鬼橋段。該案件喧騰一時，外媒報導索尼影業（Sony Pictures）買進改編劇本，宣布藍可兒案將以鬼片《The Bringing》躍上大銀幕。

據悉該劇本由兄弟檔布蘭登墨菲（Brandon Murphy）、菲力普墨菲（Phillip Murphy）合力改編完成，《The Bringing》（暫譯：厲陰鬼店）描述在藍可兒身亡後，一名私家偵探直奔飯店進行調查，過程中無意踏入超靈異世界，一一揭開多起命案背後的超自然內幕。消息曝光後，網友群起撻伐，認為索尼該舉相當不尊重往生者。
