大統黑心油爆發後，檢調和國稅局也一併查出頂新製油涉嫌逃漏高額稅金，發現頂新製油在7年內竟逃漏高達2億4千萬元稅金，再加上罰鍰金額1億6千萬元，總計須支付4億1690萬元；而除了相關行政裁罰外，農曆年後頂新製油負責人魏應充，恐怕還得為相關刑事責任接受檢調約談。

根據了解，國稅局中區分局員林稽徵所在上個星期五已經收到頂新製油繳交的4億1690萬元；但彰化地檢署也已擬妥偵辦計畫，預計在農曆年後傳喚魏應充到案調查。不過屆時是否會被檢方聲請羈押，有法界人士表示，被收押的可能性恐怕不高。
