面對比賽中損兵折將的國王，主場迎敵的火箭打來輕鬆寫意，在Dwight Howard與James Harden合砍50分帶領下，以119比98中止對戰二連敗。

這是國王近9天以來第6場客場出賽，還是背靠背的一戰，但損失更大的是，今天跟火箭一戰，Rudy Gay與DeMarcus Cousins相繼傷退。

尤其Cousins退場後，Howard在禁區的威脅性就更加明顯，雖然有Isaiah Thomas與Derrick Williams撐起進攻大旗，但火箭得分扶搖直上難以追趕。

此役火箭三分球投31中8，命中率僅25.8，但另一項拿手的轉換快攻有所發揮，且在禁區得分就佔64分，上半場打完以11分領先，並一路領先至終場。
