【施旖婕╱綜合外電報導】2012年諾貝爾醫學獎得主、英國生物學家格登(John Gurdon)，傳出其45歲的兒子有長期酗酒習慣，多次對格登和其妻暴力相向，甚至差點把格登掐死。

據英國《每日電訊報》報導，格登的兒子是「啃老族」，平日除了喝酒，還會對父母動手動腳。報導指出，格登夫婦曾建議兒子去勒戒中心治療，但兒子不肯，竟然出手打父母，還差點把格登勒死。倆老後來報警處理，法庭也準備開庭審訊，但據傳格登夫婦已經原諒兒子。
