大陸民航局副局長夏興華表示，2014年民航春運旅客運輸量在4200萬人次左右，比去年增加10%。春運期間，民航局的運行監控中心執行24小時值班，確保春運期間出行順暢。

根據新京報報導，大陸國家發改委副主任連維良昨(14)日在國新辦春運新聞發布會上表示，初步預測今年春運客運量將達36.23億人次。據此計算，民航旅客占總春運人數的1.16%，與此前幾年基本持平。

為確保春運期間運力充沛，在大陸國內定期航班每周超過50000班之外，民航加班達到1.2萬個航班。夏興華介紹，春運期間，每天安排的航班座位數已經超過了110萬個。
