成德高中在黑豹旗不敵勁旅平鎮高中，止步16強，但先發投手林凱威繳出7.1局失4分(責失2分)的優質先發，令人眼睛為之一亮，是看台上多位球探的關注焦點。

儘管投得精彩，林凱威卻不滿意投球內容，「這場比賽的投球感覺，並不在狀況內，球還是會跑，可是丟不準，後面體力有稍稍下滑。」

林凱威先發主投7.1局用了126球，被敲出7支安打，5保送5三振1暴投，失4分有2分為自責分，「這場比賽是我用得第2多球數的比賽。」

生涯首度面對平鎮高中這支棒球強權的打者們，林凱威直呼：「真的好厲害，擊球點蠻屌的！」

除了掛帥主投，林凱威也擔任球隊的第三棒，平鎮高中在換上王牌投手宋文華時，面對的首名打者就是林凱威，「原來147公里的球是這種感覺，怎麼那麼快，沒有設定球路，球來就打。」

林凱威在黑豹旗的比賽，先後面對東勢高工、大直高中以及平鎮高中，3場都有投出破140公里的球速。
