迎新年傳悲劇　菲律賓至少8死600傷

【國際中心／綜合外電報導】正當世界各地歡喜迎接2014年之際，菲律賓跨年活動卻傳出意外。根據美聯社與新華社引述菲律賓官員說法，該國自12月21日至1月1日間，全國各地50所醫院，已收治多名與迎接新年有關意外的傷患，總計至少2死，599人受傷。這些意外都與施放新年煙火有關。
此外在距離新年來臨前2小時，巴西蘭（Basilan）島蘇米席普鎮（Sumisip）跨年派對遭炸彈與手榴彈攻擊，至少造成6死5傷。由於與「基地」恐怖組織掛鉤的阿布薩耶夫（Abu Sayyaf）分子盤踞該島，當局不排除事件與阿布薩耶夫有關。
