劉子千30日返台為TVBS「2014台北最HIGH新年城」跨年晚會彩排，遭問父母劉家昌、甄珍婚變一事，是否真有小三介入？他避談稱「這事你要問他」，雙親現今關係，在他看來一如往常，他不願深談：「我本身不太會去問這些問題。」

劉家昌疑好賭成性，傳賭博輸錢要甄珍幫忙還債，婚姻亮起紅燈，事件鬧上新聞，他主動跳出來澄清，駁斥婚變一說，更不認有小三，坦言和甄珍聚少離多，自己在江西忙事業，問及否還愛另一半？他顧左右而言他，語出「對她是責任感」。

兒子劉子千坦承看過新聞報導，問及劉家昌是否愛賭？他指出爸爸賺的錢，多半會自己運用；至於父母感情狀況，他則說是大人的事情，自己沒有過問。27歲的他現在仍單身，直言沒仰慕對象，問及擇偶條件，他希望能像母親甄珍。
